HMOC April Victorian Easter Open House & Docent Led Kellogg House Tours

Join us for 2 days of events celebrating Easter the Victorian Way with 2 April HMOC Open Houses! Enjoy fun Open House activities such as guided Docent and self led historic 1898 Kellogg House tours; Art at the Farm hands on immersive art workshop and Gospel Swamp Farm gardening lessons as well as demos from the OC Blacksmith Guild in our Blacksmith Shop and more! April's special glass case exhibit in the rear Kellogg House Parlor will feature Sybil Kellogg Mauerhan and explore her dedication to her community and passion for cooking and baking. On Sunday April 6th our noon "Parlor Talk" with Jackie Campbell on "Spirit Animals" is included in your entrance fee. On Sunday April 27th we will also offer a Sewing Workshop in the Quilter's Cottage with Jessica Lim teaching basic sewing by making dried flower scent sachets! Sewing 101: Let’s Make a Scent Sachet! Goal: teach basics of fabrics, maintaining a sewing kit for home, hand sewing techniques (and how to learn more on your own), with a unique item you can take home. Date: April 27, 2025 (Sunday) Time: 1pm - 2:30pm Location: *Quilter's Cottage $5 material fee will be collected prior to event, max 20 people! **Entrance to the Museum for non-members: Your $10 (or $5 for children 12 and under) HMOC Open House admission allows you full entrance to the Museum grounds, self led Kellogg House tours during the hours that Docent led tours are not occurring as well as exterior Museum activities during the entirety of the Museum Open House hours of 11am to 3pm! An additional $5 ticket add-on can be purchased here to allow you to join one of the 2 exclusive themed and timed Docent Led Guided Tours at either 11am or 1:30 pm depending on availability!** Your admission supports our nonprofit museum and allows you to tour our property including the historic 1898 Queen Anne Victorian Kellogg House with self led or specially ticketed docent guided tours; HMOC exhibits; arts and crafts workshops; scavenger hunts; self led Nature Area trail hikes; Gospel Swamp Farm tours with the Children's Sensory Garden; special guests and speakers and more!
