On May 28th, our beloved Grandmother Flordemayo turns 77 years young.

This year, we invite you to honor her life, her prayers, her vision, and her lifelong devotion by making a birthday gift to The Path, the nonprofit she founded to preserve Indigenous wisdom, protect sacred seeds, care for the land, and create spaces of healing for generations to come.

Grandmother Flordemayo has given so much of her life in service — to the Earth, to the children, to the elders, to the ancestors, and to all those seeking prayer, healing, and remembrance. Her birthday is more than a celebration. It is an opportunity to give back to the vision she has carried with such love, humility, courage, and faith.

The Founder of The Path

Born in the highlands of Central America as the youngest of 15 children, Grandmother Flordemayo was gifted with Sight — visions and spiritual knowing — from a very early age. By the time she was four years old, she began training in curanderismo, the traditional healing arts.

Over the decades, she has traveled the world as a healer, teacher, prayer carrier, seed keeper, and founding member of the International Council of Thirteen Indigenous Grandmothers. Her teachings have touched thousands of lives through ceremony, spiritual gatherings, healing circles, interviews, global events, and quiet one-on-one moments of prayer.

Her message has always been rooted in love:

Honor the Earth. Protect the seeds. Listen to the ancestors. Remember that we are all related.

The Path: A Living Vision Rooted in Spirit

Grandmother Flordemayo founded The Path as a nonprofit dedicated to preserving and sharing Indigenous wisdom, protecting heirloom and heritage seeds, and creating sacred spaces for prayer, education, healing, and community.

Through The Path, Grandmother Flordemayo’s vision has helped:

Preserve rare heirloom and heritage seeds through the Seed Temple and seed bank
Share seeds freely with communities, gardeners, and seed stewards
Host ceremonies, teachings, prayer circles, and spiritual gatherings rooted in Indigenous wisdom
Care for sacred land in New Mexico, including the temples and walkways
Bring together Elders, Wisdom Keepers, and community members from many traditions
Support healing, remembrance, forgiveness, and reconnection with Mother Earth
Create educational offerings, online programs, and sacred gatherings that reach people across the world

The Five Sacred Temples of The Path

On the sacred land in New Mexico, Grandmother Flordemayo’s vision includes five temples — each one a living prayer, aligned with the elements and humanity’s sacred journey.

The Temple of the Golden Child
Honoring innocence, future generations, and the light within every child.
The Water Temple
A sacred space for purification, emotional healing, flow, and blessing.
The Fire Temple
A home for transformation, ceremony, ancestral remembrance, and prayer.
The Seed Temple
A vault of Earth’s memory, preserving biodiversity, food sovereignty, and sacred seeds for future generations.
The Earth Temple
A place to ground, restore, listen, and reconnect with Mother Earth.

These temples are not simply structures. They are living prayers. They require care, restoration, maintenance, and love.

This year, The Path continues to face increased costs for land care, utilities, temple maintenance, administration, restoration projects, technology, event support, and the preservation of the Seed Temple.
