Join us for Happy Hour at the North Fork Shack on Monday, October 20 from 4-7
p.m. to raise funds for the Friends of Orient Beach State Park.

The FoOBSP’s mission is to support the activities of the park and to advocate for
the park at the state level, serving as an information center for local stakeholders.
The group works closely with park professionals to provide fundraising,
volunteers and other support necessary to keep the park vibrant, well-funded and
well-staffed.

Established in 2023, the volunteer-run group was awarded a grant from PTNY in
2024 for a coastal resiliency study to protect the entrance road to the park.
FoOBSP has helped community members advocate for a new playground at the
park, and has sponsored concerts, an annual Lantern Walk and Christmas tree
lighting, and events like birding walks and beach clean-ups.

Orient Beach State Park is recognized as a National Natural Landmark and an
Audubon Important Bird Area.

Your donation goes to supporting the needs of the park, including protecting this
sensitive environment and enhancing the visitor experience. Contributions
support accessibility, events, educational opportunities and more.
