Come and meet the local farms and producers that are Boulder County's food system, and learn how to get involved with these organizations through volunteer days, purchasing CSA shares or supporting local farm stands, and more! Speak to local and state policy advocates and learn about how to support these initiatives as Boulder County and Colorado residents. Discuss clean energy, energy efficiency programs, and nature-based climate solutions with local organizations and governments. Take a tour of Jack's Solar Garden and learn about the role of technology in thriving food systems, and hear about ways you can implement energy efficiencies in your own home. A coffee cart will be available with coffee, chai and iced tea for purchase. 9.30 am - Tour of Jack's Solar Garden 11.00 am - Marching band 12.00 pm - Tour of Jack's Solar Garden A few things to keep in mind: 1) Jack's Solar Garden - Surfaces throughout the site are unpaved and uneven - The site is exposed to the elements, with very little shade/cover, please dress for current / expected weather conditions and bring water and sun protection. - All site attendees must wear close-toed shoes  2) Facilities:  - There two port-a-potties on site, please plan accordingly - Leashed service animals are allowed on site, but must be kept controlled - any unruly service animal will be asked to leave - for their safety. - Pets are not allowed on the site.  3) Jack’s Solar Garden is located at 8102 N. 95th St. Longmont, CO 80504 – trust Google Maps! - Please be careful when pulling into the driveway of Jack’s Solar Garden, this is a working farm and there are often people and animals on site. Signal early to turn from the main road and drive slowly past the farmhouse to the right of the silo. Once in the back lot, someone will assist you with parking.  4) We require each attendee to register individually for this tour so that they can complete the liability waiver (that can be completed when registering for a ticket). 5) In case of inclement weather:  - Where possible, CALC staff will notify visitors before arriving on site if the weather conditions are unsuitable for a tour - full refunds will be issued. - If inclement weather arises during the event: please follow the instructions of staff. 6) Lightning Policy: For your safety, if lightning strikes within an 8-mile radius of the solar array, everyone must exit the array site promptly and regroup in the parking lot. Please follow staff instructions carefully. Nobody is permitted within the solar array within 30 minutes of a lightning strike that occurs within an 8-mile radius. If lightning is forecasted, the event will be set up in an adjacent field and not within the solar array. Please reach out if you have any questions! We are looking forward to seeing you soon! <br> 8102 N 95th St, Longmont, CO 80504, USA
