Welcome back to our second year! This event is hosted by Zoe and Michael Wisnoski in support of a community near and dear to their hearts. In 2020, their son Riley was diagnosed with Tatton Brown Rahman Syndrome (TBRS), as he fought 9 months of a high fever. After diagnosis, Zoe and Mike found the TBRS Community (tbrsyndrome.org), a nonprofit that fights for kids like Riley.

TBRS is a rare genetic disease caused by pathogenic variants in the DNMT3A gene. It is estimated that currently there are about 350 individuals globally who are diagnosed with TBRS. Individuals with TBRS experience physical overgrowth and mild to severe intellectual disability. Other symptoms vary by case and include: cardiac defects, high risk of blood cancer and other cancers, epilepsy, autism, orthopedic problems, low muscle tone, and the list goes on. Every case varies in severity and clinical presentation, and every TBRS rock star has their own story.

The TBRS Community, the nonprofit the evening benefits, aims to support all families affected by TBRS and advance research towards interventions. Mike and Zoe have had the privilege of working with the organization over the years, and have been nothing but impressed with the impact and growth achieved. Zoe recently joined the board, and is excited about the future for the TBRS Community - from increased global involvement, educational outreach, family and patient support, and furthering research for better understanding and potential treatment options.

This year's fundraiser will champion the community in moving towards the next phase of research as outlined by the TBRS Community's research roadmap.
