Ricotta came to us from MACC as a stray—pregnant, but finally safe.

We had a foster ready. Everything was lining up exactly how it should.

She settled in quickly—sweet, friendly, just a really good girl.
Everything was going right… until suddenly, it wasn’t.

At 4am, she started getting sick.
By morning, she was in emergency care.

We didn’t know what was wrong—but we knew we couldn’t wait.

Ricotta needed an emergency C-section to save her life.
Three of her babies survived. Two did not.

We’re hopeful that what was making her so sick is now behind her—but she’s not out of the woods yet. She still needs rechecks, monitoring, and ongoing care while she recovers and cares for her kittens.

💔 This wasn’t planned.
💔 This wasn’t preventable.
❤️ But she’s here because we said yes—when MACC asked for help.

Right now, we’re trying to cover the cost of her emergency surgery and ongoing care.

We’re hoping to raise $1,200 to help Ricotta recover.
If 120 people give just $10, we can get there.

If you’re able to help—even a small amount—it truly makes a difference.

Thank you for being part of the MARS community 🐾💙

Emergency Surgery for Ricotta & Her Kittens 🐾

She was supposed to be safe. Instead, she needed emergency surgery to survive.
