Herd Meditations 2026

Herd Meditation at Anam Cara

Do you long for a moment of stillness in the midst of your busy life? Horses embody presence and peacefulness, offering a unique opportunity to slow down, breathe deeply, and reconnect with yourself.

Immerse yourself in nature and the healing energy of horses as you are gently guided into a meditative space. No experience with horses or meditation is necessary—just bring your curiosity and an open heart.

What to Expect:

🐴 Meet & greet at Anam Cara (4298 E 1000 North, La Porte, IN 46350)
🐴 Walk out to join the herd and settle into a partly guided meditation
🐴 Shift into a silent walking meditation with the horses
🐴 Gather to share reflections (optional)
🐴 Brief closing meditation

The Power of Herd Meditation:

Pause for a moment. Notice the gentle rhythm of the horses’ breath, their steady heartbeat, and their quiet presence. Research shows that a horse’s electromagnetic field can influence our own heart rhythms, creating a state of coherence—where thoughts, emotions, and body systems find balance. As we share space with horses, we may experience a profound sense of well-being, as the body releases endorphins and “feel-good” hormones that support nervous system regulation, hormonal balance, and immune function.
