Meet Jude

Jude McCaleb is a joyful, sports-loving 9-year-old from Tennessee. He dreams of playing in the NBA, collects sports cards, and helps his family on their farm. His energy and love for life are contagious—but behind his bright smile is a daily battle against a rare and progressive disease: MPS1.

A Rare Diagnosis with Lifelong Challenges

At almost 8 years old, after years of unexplained joint pain and stiffness, Jude was diagnosed with MPS1 (Mucopolysaccharidosis Type 1). His body lacks a crucial enzyme, leading to toxic buildup that damages his organs, joints, and tissues.

🩺 Weekly Treatments: Jude undergoes 5-6 hour enzyme replacement therapy (ERT) every week to slow the disease’s progression.
🏥 Surgeries & Medical Care: As MPS1 progresses, children like Jude require ongoing specialist visits, treatments, and eventual surgeries to maintain mobility and quality of life.
💰 The Financial Burden: The costs associated with rare disease treatment and support are overwhelming, and families need help to navigate the journey.
