👶 Meet Lincoln
Born September 8, 2023, Lincoln Mizer is a happy, brave, and resilient toddler fighting a rare genetic disorder called MPS I (Hurler Syndrome). At just seven days old, his parents received a phone call that changed everything: a devastating diagnosis, a shortened life expectancy, and a journey no family is prepared for.

💔 A Parent’s Worst Fear
“We were grieving him while holding him,” said his mom, Emma. After a failed hearing screen and a shocking newborn screening result, Emma and JJ were thrown into a whirlwind of hospital visits, clinical trials, and unimaginable decisions.

🏥 The Battle Begins
Lincoln started weekly enzyme replacement therapy (ERT) at five weeks old. In December 2023, he received a bone marrow transplant—currently the only treatment that can slow the progression of this disease. He endured chemotherapy, ICU stays, intense pain, and even medication withdrawal… but he made it through.

🌟 Today: A Little Boy Full of Light
Now 19 months old, Lincoln is walking on his own and playing with joy. His therapy appointments are finally spaced out, and for the first time since his diagnosis, his family is catching their breath.

But the road ahead is long and your help is needed.
