R. stated he valued the circle for the opportunity to listen to others' experiences, which provided positive feedback and encouraged him in his own progress. He appreciates the camaraderie and friendship in the circle.

A. finds the circle helpful because it allows members to share experiences and information, noting that someone else might be going through a similar situation and offer valuable insights.

G. emphasized that COSA helps members maintain a positive outlook in looking for opportunities, no matter how small, and shared how it helps him stay open-minded and seize opportunities.

E. said that COSA offered significant help, including personalized assistance with his resume and a job fair, and highlighted the various benefits available through the program that members might not be aware of unless they ask.

The COSA Facilitator shared his personal journey with COSA, explaining that he has been involved since late 2023 after his release from prison, and that COSA provided crucial support, work leads, and assistance during his adjustment period. He noted that COSA was particularly helpful because many organizations do not assist 290s, and after no longer needing direct help, he began facilitating a circle, contributing to the program's growth.

A new member, F. confirmed he has been out of prison for two years and expects to gain positive information and support from the group, similar to what other members expressed, especially while addressing personal matters like INS paperwork.

Donors can deduct contributions under IRC Section 170. Qualified contributions include: tax-deductible bequests, devises, transfers, or gifts under Section 2055, 2106, or 2522. COSA San Diego is classified as a public charity under IRC Section 170(b)(1)(A)(vi).
