To achieve durable constitutional Green Amendment protections, we need a 501(c)(4) social-welfare nonprofit organization that compliments the Green Amendments For The Generations nonprofit working nationwide to inspire, educate and litigate around constitutional environmental Green Amendment rights.

The Green Amendment Campaign is a 501c4 nonprofit that will expand the capacity of communities to advance direct lobbying, grassroots advocacy, coalition mobilization, and other allowable public-policy activities, helping build the sustained political power required to protect the rights of all people, communities, and future generations to clean air, pure water, a safe climate, thriving biodiversity, healthy soils and healthy environments.

The Green Amendment Movement is at a Crossroads

Since the founding of the United States, environmental protection has been subject to the changing tides of politics. While some laws offer temporary reprieve, they often lack the foundational strength needed to ensure long term safety for our communities. The Green Amendment Campaign is working to change this by securing constitutional protection for environmental rights across the nation.

The Need for Constitutional Change

Nationwide, state constitutions do not recognize a healthy environment as a fundamental right. This omission leaves our water, air, soils, wildlife, ecosystems and human communities vulnerable to industrial interests.

But The Green Amendment Campaign is changing that. By supporting our sister organization, Green Amendments For The Generations, we are transforming U.S. environmental protection by securing an enforceable constitutional RIGHT of ALL people to a clean, safe and healthy environment.

Why Do We Need This Campaign When We Already Have Green Amendments For The Generations?

Green Amendments For The Generations is a 501c3 organization able to receive tax deductible donations and grants from foundations. But in exchange, the organization is extremely limited in its ability to lobby and advocate for Green Amendment protections, legislation, political candidates and/or petition initiatives. As a result, our advocacy and effectiveness has been limited. With The Green Amendment Campaign we can break out of the box of constraints and provide complimentary activities that will power our Green Amendment movement to go even further - and to do so more quickly!
