This week

We are dedicating this week's raffle proceeds once again towards 10th Mountain Assault Brigade "Edelweiss", this time to help them build cope cages for their vehicles and equipment. As much as we like to ridicule the russians, cope cages do provide protection against smaller drones.

Updates

This week begins with good news/bad news; the Borsch Express is no more. It was destroyed by a russian drone while transporting fuel for the 79th, but it served its purpose by taking a hit that may otherwise have killed a Ukrainian soldier. The 79th is evaluating the lessons learned from Borsch Express and will wait until then before asking for more help, but they absolutely appreciate all your support.

This considerate, reasoned approach to requesting funds is a fundamental reason why UFL supports Ukrainian defenders. Can you imagine a russian unit considering the army's needs as a whole before asking for help?

On happier news, your International Legion unit sends their appreciation for their shipment of hydration backpacks, water bladders, winter socks and ponchos, and other utility and morale items.

Additionally, you made the guys of the 25th very happy! Powebanks, a generator, socks and beanies, and more! UFL_Robin posted their "thank-you" video here in case you missed it.

$2 TACO Tuesday

TACO Tuesday is back! Maybe one day something will change and we can drop the TACO, but today is not that day.

The $2 pack this week has the famous Snake Island scene on Ukrainian stamps and a shopping tote, plus a beautiful brooch and a " Free Ukraine!" button. The keychain is made from a 7.62 x 39 casing, fired by a Marine of the 35th Brigade at the Krynky beachhead!

$5 "Shchedryk" pack

Our big packs this week comes courtesy of the 2nd Shchedryk UAV Battalion of the 411th Unmanned Systems Regiment. They really appreciated the gear you supplied!

Shchedryk gave us their 2nd Battalion flag and two patches in thanks.

They also provided the flag from the Liut "Fury" Brigade and two more patches.

In closing:

Every week's raffle causes me to examine Ukraine's war and guides me in attempting to provide some insight or helpful anecdote to link all of us more closely with the people of Ukraine.

Unfortunately, I don't have anything pithy or uplifting to share this week. This, surprisingly, helps me understand a very small portion of what many Ukrainians feel about russia's brutality; a weight, an oppressive, smothering blanket trying to crush any light and life that it might foster.

But the rich soil of Ukraine continues to sprout life, a dogged struggle to grow and prosper. That resolute fight to survive stays in my mind each day, making me proud to be a part, no matter how microscopic, of Ukrainians' evolution away from russia's dominion.

Thank you all for all you do to help. I hope you feel that same connection to Ukraine and its people; you are now part of that story.
