I inherited VCP from my mother, who got it from her mother, and I want to stop it before my kids have to say the same. 

While my symptoms are mild and invisible to others, I still have this disease that will begin to affect me more and more in the coming years. I’m willing to share my story to try and raise money for important research that is truly opening new pathways of treatment and drug discovery.

For the challenge I will do what I did last year which is walk a mile around the lake in my neighborhood 5x that week. I will do this every year until I can’t any longer.

In memory of my mother and grandmother and in honor of my aunt—and for me and my kids, I pledge to match all donations to my team this year up to $2500.
