It has been over four decades since the first eight volunteers showed up at Falmouth High School to tutor students.

Today, several hundred VIPS volunteers give their time and share their support for Falmouth students in all grades, across all seven schools. Additionally, our dozens of community partners provide resources that make our programs possible and set our district apart.

Falmouth VIPS programming encompasses four core areas: Mentoring, Academic Support, Financial Literacy, and Health & Wellness. Our volunteers bring energy, experience, and enthusiasm into our schools and their presence is appreciated by students and staff alike.

As a nonprofit organization, Falmouth VIPS counts on donations, as well as sponsorships and grants, to cover costs of programming including staff time, volunteer training and recruitment, program materials, and student trips and experiences. Falmouth VIPS is unique in its close collaboration with the district and serves as a model for communities throughout the region.

VIPS volunteers have contributed nearly 1.5 million hours since we began counting in the mid-1980s. But more valuable than the number of hours is the relationships and connections our volunteers share with students. Those are the "secret sauce" that leave lasting and positive impressions on our students.
