OUR MISSION: International Spanish Language Academy (ISLA) is a Pre-K-5 Spanish immersion community that empowers the whole child by nurturing the development of personal growth, strong character, academic excellence, and global vision.

20 YEARS STRONG: This year, we celebrate 20 years as an innovative school. We remain committed to our founding ideals of Spanish immersion in language and culture and an International Baccalaureate approach to global learning.

As a tuition-free public charter school, ISLA receives about 80% the funding of traditional public schools in Minnesota. Fundraising helps ensure a robust, well-rounded, and equitable education for all. Only 2% of the school's operating budget comes from donations, but this critical support makes a BIG difference! Your gift supports:

FOUR FULL-TIME SPECIALIST TEACHERS: Bringing expert instruction in Music, Art, Physical Education, and STEM learning to all students, every single week.
SOCIAL EMOTIONAL SUPPORT: Our Student Wellbeing team includes our school social worker, expert teachers, and embedded classroom professionals to ensure a continuum of daily supports, from the CARE Room to lunch bunches to Check-Ins to skills groups.
FACILITIES IMPROVEMENTS: In 2026, we made extensive updates to improve the efficiency of our HVAC system, added LED lighting, and replaced flooring in our first phase of a larger effort to have a greener, healthier, and more effective school building for our growing community. With additional fundraising, we can replace more flooring and continue investing in our physical spaces.

MAKE AN IMPACT TODAY

Join us in celebrating 20 years of ISLA by investing in the next generation of global citizens. Every donation—no matter the size—directly enhances our classrooms, supports our teachers, and strengthens our school community.

Thank you for your generous support!
