These guys love you

Several months ago UFL_Arcaist connected with some infantrymen from the 115th Territorial Defense Brigade and sent them some tacmed (see this update). Later, these men also received a large powerbank and some other gear like tactical gloves. They were so grateful for the (badly-needed) support that it truly touched us.

Several weeks later, you all were able to buy them a vehicle! Here they are:

I really wish you could see their faces (damn you, opsec!) because they truly look happy.

This leads me to a tough discussion. In case you didn't know, UFL doesn't just send money and gear to anyone that asks; we need to build relationships with individuals within various units, slowly offering continued support after we verify that the equipment we provide is being used in the most effective way possible.

This relationship building takes its toll on the UFL when those contacts are killed. It is an ugly truth, but many of the friends that UFL_Robin and UFL_Arcaist made are with us no longer.

But, on a happier note, these guys are now operating under the 66th Mechanized Brigade! As a thank you for their spiffy vehicle UFL bought them, they provided this week's raffle items!

This week's $2 Tuesday patch duo is the 66th's patch and a (IMO) really cool tryzub on a Ukrainian shield.

As you can see, our guys signed a flag of their new 66th Brigade to go with the brigade patch with their motto Не стій на шляху "Don't stand in the way". As an added bonus, they sent us a photo of them with the flag before it was signed!

I know I say this every week, but I swear that I truly mean it every week; thank you. Your willingness to support Ukraine not only allows UFL to function, but it buoys the spirits of us all here at UFL.

Thank you for being radiant examples of good humans. I hope other people see you as I do and appreciate you as much as we do.
