Our sweet Karen Siran-Loughery passed over the rainbow bridge on December 3, 2024.

She is survived by her husband and partner of over 30 years Geoff, her daughter Blakeleigh and her son Kade; her parents Victor and Joan Siran; siblings Carla, Timothy (Jen), Cheryl (Dache); nieces Natalia & Adelaide and nephew Thaddeus; chosen sister Barbara; and sister-in-law Sue (Dan) along with numerous relatives and friends.

Karen was born in Manitoba, Canada. Karen spent her early years in Ashern before the family moved to Winnipeg Beach. She then attended Gimli High School, graduating with Honors before going on to studies at the University of Manitoba obtaining her Bachelor of Arts and then her Bachelor of Occupational Therapy. Education was important to Karen and she continued to learn constantly throughout her life.

After graduation Karen moved to Jacksonville Beach, Florida to work as an Occupational Therapist. In Karen's time there, she married Geoff, bought a house and had their loving daughter, Blakeleigh. Seeking new possibilities, Karen and Geoff relocated to Las Vegas, NV. There they bought their family home and completed their family with the arrival of their handsome son, Kade. In Clark County, Karen started her own practice, Dream Therapies, with her vision and mission to help children with special needs. As Karen's business expanded she incorporated nontraditional practices like Hippotherapy and Aquatic therapy.

Karen loved travel and adventure, going all over North America and the world. She got her scuba certification, boating license, and loved the challenge of advanced yoga. Karen thrived in yoga, wanting to show off all her strength, balance, and skills. Karen participated in multiple sports over the years, especially figure skating and slow pitch, and enjoyed her time attending and coaching Kade's baseball teams.

She loved animals all her life, having adopted many cats, goats and horses in her care over the years. Karen was a devoted fan of the Vegas Golden Knights much to the vexation of her family and friends who were Winnipeg Jets fans.

Karen took pride in excelling in life and in business. She always strove for excellence in herself. Karen lived her life with her Catholic faith, love, devotion and unwavering determination with all she held close to her heart. Karen will be greatly missed.
