URGENT: Indigenous Mutual Aid Request.

Indigenous family in need of support. They have spent a lot of time fundraising and giving support to others. At this time, they need our help!

We are fundraising a mutual aid request for an Indigenous family who fell behind on their car insurance payments due to a job loss. On 10/7, they received a notice to provide proof of insurance within 90 days or face up to 14 days in prison in addition to fees and fines. We are fundraising for past-due car insurance payments, state fees, as well as a payment to start a new insurance policy. The state charges $12/day up to 90 days for not having insurance provided to the state. We would like to help this family before their time runs out.

An Indefinite suspension order has been issued by the state for the license to be suspended indefinitely beginning 12/4.

We are a single-driver household. I am responsible for driving my entire family, getting groceries, as well as being available to the community when needed. I am not able to be without a car/valid license due to the area we live, where there is no public transportation. We have tried our best to get current on everything but have been unable to keep up with car insurance, due to other bills. I did not know our state would take this so seriously. I have been trying to find work and other projects but everything coming in has needed to go towards other bills and groceries. Any support would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.
