In the wake of recent devastation, Florida continues to reel from the impact of multiple hurricanes. Less than two weeks after Hurricane Helene struck the northern Gulf coast, Hurricane Milton made landfall near Siesta Key. This year marks a grim milestone, with Florida experiencing three major hurricane landfalls – an unprecedented event in recorded history. The destruction and financial losses from these storms are now among the most severe Florida has ever endured.

If you have already contributed to hurricane relief efforts, thank you. Your generosity is essential to helping our community rebuild and recover from this crisis.

Even as these natural disasters leave devastation in their wake, Abe Brown Ministries (ABM) remains committed to supporting those who were already struggling – individuals and families working to reintegrate into society after incarceration. In the midst of this turmoil, ABM continues to offer essential services such as safe housing, food, financial assistance, life-skills training, reentry support, spiritual guidance, and employment services to those seeking a second chance.

We understand the emotional toll that these disasters have placed on our entire community. At ABM, we stand in solidarity with you – recognizing that we have endured these storms together, and together we must rebuild. As part of that solidarity, we have made the

difficult decision to cancel our Triumphant Transformations event, which was scheduled for Thursday, November 7. While the event will not take place, we encourage you to read about Eddie’s inspiring journey of transformation below.

We are deeply grateful for the unwavering strength and generosity of our Tampa Bay community during this time of uncertainty. With so many still without power – some even without homes, and basic needs like food and fuel becoming priorities, we could not in good conscience solicit event sponsorships while people are still focused on survival and recovery.

Abe Brown Ministries remains committed to serving our community and supporting you, especially during these challenging times. Know that you are in our thoughts and prayers as we navigate both the physical and emotional storms ahead.
