Ganjactivist.com, publishers of the Ganjactivist.com Magazine have launched a fundraising campaign for small farmers who have been devastated by hurricane Melissa in Westmoreland Jamaica. Jamaica was integral to our foundation and the least we can do is use our platform to raise awareness and resources for our friends in Negril and Western, Jamaica.

In early October, Hurricane Melissa tore through communities across Jamaica, leaving farmers, families, and small ganja cultivators struggling to recover. What began as a call for urgent support has now become something much bigger: a focused, long-term rebuild of the people and places that keep Jamaica’s farming and ganja heritage alive.

This campaign supports that rebuild — not just the immediate aftermath.

Your contributions will help farmers restart operations, repair infrastructure, regain stability, and continue the work that has defined Jamaica’s culture and economy for generations.

Why We’re Extending the Campaign through January

I had planned to be on the ground in December, but circumstances have shifted. Instead of rushing this effort or doing it halfway, we’re expanding both the timeline and the mission.

In December 2025, I will travel to Jamaica to meet directly with farmers in Westmoreland and beyond, document their progress, and begin filming a documentary and video series on the rebuilding of Jamaica’s ganja industry.

This extension gives us:

More time to raise meaningful funds
A stronger, more intentional strategy
The ability to show donors exactly how their support is being used

This isn’t a delay — it’s a better way to serve the people we’re showing up for.

We’re inviting volunteers to join us in Jamaica in January and February 2026.
