Photography Contest: Show Off Your Skills!

Are you a photographer? Do you love taking photos of nature and wildlife? Visit the John Bunker Sands Wetland Center (JBSWC) from March 3 - August 31 with your camera and enter your best shots to our photography contest!

Please read our full rules and guidelines before visiting JBSWC and submitting your photo.

Flora
Fauna
Birds
Landscape
Youth (photographers under 18)
- Photos may align with any of the above categories.
- Must provide written permission from parent/guardian to enter contest and must be accompanied by parent/guardian while taking photos.

All entries will be considered for the Grand Prize.

Entry Process:

Participants must take and submit their photo(s) between March 3 - August 31, 2026.
After paying the submission fee, participants will be sent a link to a Google form to upload a photo and provide requested information.
- Participants may enter an unlimited number of photos, but must pay a submission fee and complete a Google form for each photo entered.
Submissions will not be accepted after 11:45pm on August 31, 2026.
Winners and runners-up will be notified in September 2026.

Prizes:

Grand Prize Winner
- Photo professionally printed and displayed at JBSWC
- Two tickets to Wings Over the Wetland (November 7, 2026)
- Two tickets to JBSWC guided bird tour (date of your choosing)
- One-year Family Minnow membership
- Inclusion of photo in printed calendar, to be sold in JBSWC nature shop
  - Winner will also receive a calendar
- Photo posted on JBSWC social media with acknowledgement
Grand Prize Runner-Up and Category Winners
- Two tickets to JBSWC guided bird tour (date of your choosing)

Prizes are not transferrable and may not be redeemed for monetary value.
