The Little Black Dress Initiative (LBDI) invites participants to wear the same black outfit every day for 5 consecutive days to spark conversation and increase awareness about the challenges facing our neighbors in Charlotte currently living in poverty. Our dual purpose is to build awareness and to raise funds to support the core mission of the Junior League of Charlotte, Inc. (JLC)

Anyone and everyone can participate! LBDI is open to all, not just JLC members, and is a campaign that fosters individual and community advocacy. Participants can fundraise individually or in teams and invite their family members, friends, and coworkers to join!

Participants in and around the Charlotte area can pick up their “Ask Me About My Dress” button at the JLC Headquarters beginning February 24, 2023. The concentrated LBDI campaign week is March 6-10, but funds will be raised and collected throughout March.
