The Little Black Dress Initiative (#LBDI) is a week-long, social media-driven fundraising campaign that utilizes the iconic ‘little black dress’ to raise awareness about access to mental and physical health programs and highlight the history of the Junior League of High Point and our partner organizations. By doing something "a little different," we educate our community about JLHP's mission and work.

LBDI Advocates wear one black dress or all-black outfit for five consecutive days to hyper-focus on the issues surrounding healthcare outcomes and health disparities affecting women and children in our community.

Each day, we will dive deeper into different topics, including:

Children's Health & Wellness
Mental Health
Substance Abuse
Maternal Health

The Junior League of High Point is an organization of women committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women, and improving communities through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers. Its purpose is exclusively educational and charitable. JLHP funding provides training opportunities to its members to help build better civic leaders. We aim to help High Point women develop civic leadership skills through their work and then put those talents to work in the communities that need it. Our current focus on improving health outcomes and disparities gives women opportunities to grow while positively impacting the communities where they live and work.
