Dedicated to developing young women as both basketball players and responsible young ladies, the Carolina Hornets United is one of the premier girls’ basketball organizations in the country. Our mission, through the game of basketball, is to teach girls how to be strong, independent women. We aim to empower girls with knowledge that will help in today’s world and years ahead. We provide players with chances to grow in the sport, motivate others, and opportunities to become leaders of both today and tomorrow. With a focus on our core values…TEAM, FAMILY, and being UNITED…we believe we can help develop strong moral character, promote a winning spirit, and teach the value in being part of something more than just ourselves. Our hope is that every girl that plays for Carolina Hornets United achieves the goals they have established for themselves whether that be a career, higher-education, college athletics, and/or leadership roles.

We began our first year during the Spring of 2023 with a 12U and 14U team. Competing against some of the best talent across the country from 14 different states, our young ladies finished the season with a combined record of 73-23, winning numerous tournaments, and putting the Carolina Hornets in the conversation as an elite organization.

As we approach our second season, the Carolina Hornets continue to hold true to our mission of developing young ladies and our commitment to the game of basketball. So much so, that we are fortunate to have some major announcements!

First, we are excited to announce that we have expanded the organization to three teams! For the upcoming Spring 2024 season, the Carolina Hornets will now compete with a 13U, 14U, and 15U team.

In addition to our expansion, we are humbled to announce that we have been invited to participate in the inaugural season of the Nike Elite Youth Champions League! As you can imagine, this is a huge accomplishment, especially for an organization in just their second year. As the most prestigious basketball brand in the country, we are truly grateful that Nike accepted the Carolina Hornets and trusted our organization with this opportunity. We believe it is recognition for the hard work and commitment of our players, our coaching staff, families, friends, sponsors, and everyone involved in the program. Sometimes, it’s simple…it’s just Good People Doing Things Right!!

As we grow, it comes with additional needs…and WE NEED YOUR HELP!! We are seeking donations to cover the following expenses:

Travel expenses – players and coaches
Media expenses
Additional gym space for practices
Equipment – basketballs, training items, etc.
