For over 30 years, First Slavic Baptist Church has been serving the Salem community—teaching biblical truth, supporting families, and mentoring youth. We have seen firsthand how strong values, education, and faith can transform lives. As our city continues to grow, we believe it is time to invest in a lasting foundation for the next generation—a space designed to nurture faith, strengthen families, and bring our community together.

We are excited to announce the construction of The Living Stone Center, a 37,000-square-foot multi-purpose facility that will include a gym and banquet hall, classrooms for K–12 Christian education, a daycare for ages 1–4, conference and sports spaces, and a welcoming coffee area. Permits have already been released by the City of Salem, and we are preparing to break ground this spring.

Facility Highlights

A full-size gym for sports events and a banquet hall for weddings, church, and community gatherings (seating for 500+).
Classrooms for K–12 education using an accredited, nationally recognized curriculum.
A daycare for children ages 1–4 to support working families.
Areas for sports, Bible studies, and city outreach.
A commercial kitchen and coffee shop for community gatherings and events.

This is more than a building project—it’s a legacy investment in the future of our youth and community. When complete, it will serve as a place for education, mentorship, and family connection—accessible and available for community use.

Our total project budget is $10 million, and thanks to the generosity of our church family and community, we’ve made encouraging progress toward that goal.
