Most rural students arrive at school on an empty stomach and eat their first and only meagre meal in the evening. We are currently providing over 450 primary school learners with a daily nutritious meal that helps them stay focused, healthy and able to attend school – essential in our dry months where food scarcity is prevalent.

What Your Gift Can Do Today

$30 - Feeds one student for two months and with the Giving Tuesday match, make that TWO!

$12 - Provides a washable sanitary hygiene pack (lasting up to 5 years), ensuring one girl child can stay in school during her menstruation and not fall behind or drop out.

$450 per year - Supports one of our 462 registered rural learners for an entire year, including:

A daily nutritional meal
Supplementary and Support Education & Technology learning
Access to health, mental health counselling, and mentorship

$40/month fully supports one young learner for one year
$20/month supports a child for 6 months

The Jafuta Foundation is a non-profit organisation focused on helping humans and animals alike by creating and maintaining equilibrium between community, wildlife and conservation, education and culture. A catalyst for bringing together the private sector, local authorities, communities and protected area management agencies, the Foundation forms an integral point through which to channel funds or assistance to any agency or cause with 100% guaranteed transparency. There are no hidden costs for administration and expenditures.

The Foundation is registered in U.S.A. and Zimbabwe with the Jafuta Foundation Centres of Hope, located in the rural areas on the edge of the Zambezi National Park, forming the main administrative base from which most projects are run, along with the women and youth self empowerment project, Batoka Creatives. The Centres of Hope also act as a hub from which to interact with the public and to host workshops that benefit local communities and wildlife. Various other locations are dotted in and around Victoria Falls and the surrounding parks and forests, with the majority of the work being carried out in the Hwange West area and the southern section of the Victoria Falls National Park.

The Jafuta Foundation focuses on the following:

- community : sustainable income generating projects, alternative energy solutions, improved crop and livestock management and access to water; WASH programs; reusable sanitary pad making; gender and equality; skills training

- education : supplementary and informal education; computer and technology access; scholarships and infrastructural support to rural schools; sport and leisure development; wildlife conservation and environment training

- traditional culture and history : museum curation; publishing; cultural exchanges

- conservation and wildlife : solution seeking and National Parks support; ecotourism
