We're thrilled to share some amazing news with you! Our building expansion project is well underway, and we're hoping to see it completed by the end of 2024. We're especially grateful that 90% of the construction costs have already been covered thanks to a generous forgivable loan from the South Dakota Housing HOME-ARP funds. This means our shelter will soon grow beyond its current four bed and bath units with shared living and kitchen spaces.

The upcoming expansion will feature a cozy and private intake area, as well as office spaces where clients can meet discreetly with our advocates. Additionally, there will be four non-congregate rooms, designed like small efficiency apartments, each featuring a private bathroom and kitchenette. These welcoming spaces will grant survivors a sense of autonomy and safety, which is so important.

However, to make these new spaces truly feel like home, we need your help. Your involvement is crucial in providing small room appliances, decor, bedding, bathroom essentials, and kitchen utensils, including eating ware. Your support has the potential to deeply touch lives, turning these units from mere living areas into warm and comforting retreats where survivors find peace and healing.
