Announcing The Greta Johnson Legacy Fund

Mrs. Greta Marie Fontes Johnson was born on October 2, 1952 to Christiano Fontes and Louise Cobb. She graduated from Jack Yates High School in 1970. She later attended Houston Community College, earning an associate degree in Accounting. On July 5, 1975, she was united in marriage to Charles Johnson. Together, Charles and Greta raised their two children, Eveleo Johnson and MSMMS member, Dr. Amber Johnson Robinett. Though Greta gave birth to two children, her nurturing spirit knew no limits. She lived her life in service to others and sought neither reward nor recognition. Greta departed this life on January 20, 2026. This scholarship will serve to honor her legacy of love, service, and faith.
