These talks build capacity within the community, laying the groundwork for community-led redevelopment that is both economically and environmentally sustainable.

Builders Without Borders is a Houston-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit advancing sustainability and access to updated homes. We are forging the path of education so that we can serve the hardest hit homeowners with the tools, partnerships, and design capacity to lead the redevelopment of their own neighborhoods, using climate-resilient, environmentally sound building strategies that reduce risk, preserve equity, and protect continuity. Too often, disaster recovery relies on rebuilding with traditional methods that fail again and again. Our model interrupts that cycle. From elevated, storm-resistant planning to energy-efficient upgrades and green infrastructure, BWB delivers durable, future-facing solutions that also restore dignity to communities missing critical resilience planning.
