Culture Shock LA's Kids Dance Day provides FREE hip hop dance classes for kids 17 and under!
All skill levels and backgrounds welcome.

Culture Shock Los Angeles Dance Troupe is set to host its 21st Annual FREE Kid’s Dance Day on SUNDA, MARCH 15, at Elements Dance Space in Pasadena.

This beloved event invites young dancers of all skill levels to explore various dance styles through engaging classes led by a talented roster of local performers and artists. Designed to inspire creativity and movement, the program fosters artistic expression in a supportive environment.

Registration begins at 12:30 PM, offering free beginner to advanced classes in dance forms such as Locking, Breaking, Whacking, House, and Hip-Hop choreography. We're also excited to feature "Hip Hop for Tots," as well as a dance class for parents, and special Awesome Shock workshop that integrates occupational therapy and dance to support children with special needs.

About Culture Shock LA

Since 1994, Culture Shock Los Angeles has used Hip-Hop dance forms to involve traditionally underserved populations in the arts, and promotes concepts such as self-expression, critical thinking, and cultural awareness through artistic development. CSLA continues to reach students throughout the greater Los Angeles area, incorporating key components of the California Common Core and Visual and Performing Arts (VAPA) Standards in its curricula. Through dance, our programs build on core themes such as teamwork, celebrating diversity, and self-expression with the intent of creating community-minded and self-confident artists.

With support from the LA County Department of Arts & Culture, LA City’s Department of Cultural Affairs, and DEA Educational Foundation, Culture Shock LA reaches thousands of youths and adults each year through instructional workshops, school assemblies, and professional performances.
