Hello hello hello! We are the Network for Applied Pharmacognosy and we are a new research non-profit that aims to change the paradigm for cannabis research to put a strong emphasis on lived experience. This initial fundraising round is absolutely critical to our success and will allow us to pursue future research that is directly applicable and can translate lived experience into the biochemical and analytical.

Our scientific advisory board is entirely of gender-minority, intersectional artists, in our prime, and ready to take action:

Dr. Allison Justice, PhD is a horticultural scientist who is passionate about research on cultivation and production for reproducibility and quality (specifically smoke quality) as well as an entrepreneur, farmer, and founder of the Cannabis Research Coalition (CRC).
The Dank Duchess is an international expert of hashish and a multi-medium artist who was introduced to hash by working with Frenchy Cannoli. I love the article she wrote about the experience.
Marne Garretson, MPH is a data scientist who focuses on how we can use real world evidence to create real changes at the systemic level.
Dr. Miyabe Shields, PhD is an endocannabinoid system expert and a queer, neurodivergent, stoner scientist who has a special interest in researching and educating about the neurodivergent brain on drugs.
Dr. Paloma Lehfeldt, MD is a medical doctor with a background in clinical psychiatry who is pro-cannabis for mental health
Dr. Riley Kirk, PhD is an expert in drug discovery from natural medicines and a stoner scientist and educator who is both an academic professor and a public educator and advocate.
