At the age of 17, Katie Histing was diagnosed with Ewing’s Sarcoma, a rare and aggressive pediatric bone cancer. Throughout her six-year battle, Katie used her creativity to shine a light on childhood cancer and inspire others.

Despite the relentless challenges she faced, Katie embraced life with unwavering positivity and determination. She committed to living a limitless life, channeling her energy into creating art to raise awareness for childhood cancer and fostering a supportive community around her. She found joy in traveling, live music, and forming meaningful connections with others, especially fellow childhood cancer warriors. Katie was a passionate advocate for increased funding for childhood cancer research, drawing attention to the stark underfunding of rare pediatric cancers like hers. She also regularly raised funds for the Little Warrior Foundation.

Through every setback, Katie’s spirit remained a beacon of hope and inspiration. She encouraged those around her to #LiveLifeLikeKT, exemplifying resilience, creativity, and compassion at every turn. Her enduring legacy continues to rally support for the fight against childhood cancer.

Little Warrior Foundation has a particular interest in targeted (and humane) therapies that attack cancer cells, and that leave normal cells unharmed, such as Immunotherapy and Molecular Therapy

The treatment protocol for Ewing's Sarcoma has not evolved in over 30 years.

There are bright spots on the horizon, but this childhood cancer shockingly receives next to zero attention from the government and pharmaceutical industry.
