Every year countless talented women and nonbinary people of color dream of becoming lawyers but face barriers that have nothing to do with their potential. LSAT prep alone can cost thousands of dollars. Application support is often inaccessible. Mentorship is uneven and, in many communities, entirely absent.

LawyHer was created to change that.

Through the LawyHer Loading Fellows Program, we provide six months of live LSAT instruction, two LSAT administrations, one-on-one mentorship, application guidance, and a community that affirms each Fellow’s identity and goals. These are the kinds of resources that determine whether a student enters the legal profession prepared and confident.

The impact is already clear.

Our inaugural cohort included individuals who overcame homelessness, teenage motherhood, and intergenerational poverty. Despite the barriers they faced long before reaching the law school application stage, they demonstrated remarkable resilience and talent. With the support of our program they achieved an average 17-point increase on their LSAT scores and are now applying to law school this fall. Their success illustrates what becomes possible when the right resources meet the right potential.

A donation to Fund a Fellow allows us to provide LSAT scholarships, program materials, high quality advising, and ongoing community based support for this year’s Fellows and for future cohorts. It ensures that we do not turn away exceptionally qualified candidates simply because our funding cannot keep pace with the need. It also strengthens our ability to expand the pipeline and create additional opportunities for students who are navigating this process without support.
