From Global Experience to Local Impact

Keturah Farms' agricultural work has reached communities internationally, helping establish and support micro-farming efforts while providing agricultural education and encouraging greater food security.

Now we are bringing that experience home.

The USA Micro Farm Initiative will use our demonstration micro farm as a hands-on learning model featuring traditional growing methods as well as innovative approaches such as raised-bed gardening, greenhouse production, aeroponics, hydroponics, aquaculture, and other sustainable food-production systems.

Our aquaculture component will demonstrate how fish can be raised as another source of locally produced food, giving participants exposure to a more diverse approach to small-scale food production.

Through in-person and video-based education, we plan to help beginning and underserved farmers, families, children, and communities discover that farming does not always require hundreds of acres.
