About the Guests

Richard Bushman, seen as the patriarch of Mormon historians, is the author of the acclaimed biography “Joseph Smith: Rough Stone Rolling” and the newly released and eagerly anticipated “Joseph Smith’s Gold Plates: A Cultural History.”

His wife, Claudia Lauper Bushman, edited “Mormon Sisters: Women in Early Utah” and wrote “Contemporary Mormonism: Latter-day Saints in Modern America.”

Together, the couple wrote “Building the Kingdom: A History of Mormons in America” and helped launch the Center for Latter-day Saint Arts.
