This will be my first ever full marathon and it is incredibly meaningful to be representing Legal Aid Society! The importance of Legal Aid's work in advocating for low income New Yorkers cannot be overstated and I am thrilled to be raising money. Legal Aid ensures that every New Yorker gets equitable representation in our legal system. My own professional work as an epidemiologist working in overdose & public health brushes shoulders with many of the goals and mission of Legal Aid, making each of the 26.2 miles all the more meaningful!
