UVSC started with one person's journey, but is a story of HOPE for the millions of people diagnosed with cancer each year.

This is what we’re about: stepping in when life throws the biggest curveballs. UVSC’s Financial Assistance Program helps cancer fighters in Hawai’i access the care that they need, no matter the distance. At UVSC, we stay focused on finding the ways and means to keep serving our community and reaching those who need us most; and standing alongside you and your family on this journey.

ABOUT UVSC: UVSC stands for “Us Versus Cancer” and is a Hawaii-based 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that was founded by cancer survivor, Jamil Newirth, and Chris Thibaut, who lost his father to cancer in 1997. Inspired by the community who took it upon themselves to organize events and support Jamil after he was diagnosed with Stage IV brain cancer, UVSC was created with a vision of bringing communities together to support each other in times of greatest need and against all odds – and most importantly, to provide hope so no one has to fight cancer alone.

Together, we can continue to provide hope and make a meaningful difference in the lives of those facing cancer in Hawai’i.
