Lanterns & Latkes: An Asian Jewish Hanukkah - Los Angeles
Friday, December 27th, 6:00 PM – 10:00 PM PST
In Person
Location details are private and will be sent along with your ticket purchase.
Our fourth NuRoots Asian Jewish Hanukkah is all about the light that outshines the darkness. Asian Jews and their loved ones will gather to light the Hanukkiah, enjoy a jazz band and a delicious dinner, and schmooze with friends new and old. As we chat, each person will be given a white paper lantern. With markers provided, we’ll all decorate our lanterns with things that speak to our unique identities. Then, placing an electric light inside each lantern, we’ll light our space with the beautiful glow of our individual personalities, creating the perfect “Instagram moment” to close out 2024 — and a lantern souvenir to take home with you as you enter 2025. This experience is part of NuRoots’ tenth Infinite Light festival. Discover the lineup at nuroots.org/infinitelight This event will be in-person in Santa Monica. RSVP for address. Please note that photography will take place at this event and let us know if you have any questions. Reach out to the team at [email protected] with any questions. The LUNAR Collective is the first and only organization for Asian American Jews. Learn more at weareasianjews.org, or @asian.jews on Instagram.
