About Sofaburn Inc: Founded in 2020, SofaBurn Inc (SBI) recognized the need to support artists with their healthcare costs, particularly in a post-pandemic world. Many independent artists must rely on marketplace insurance, and the financial strain of healthcare expenses can hinder their ability to continue their creative work. Since its inception in 2020, SBI has aided over 30 artists, resulting in a total of $15,000.00 in healthcare savings. In 2023 alone, 14 artists have received support amounting to $4,675.00 in savings. In a remarkable case, SBI assisted an artist in having $87,000.00 of healthcare debt removed through financial education.
