Location details are private and will be sent along with your ticket purchase.
Passover comes alive as traditions and rituals become opportunities for us each to share our unique Asian Jewish stories. In an enchanting backyard setting, we’ll enjoy a delicious Kosher-for-Passover style dinner (supplemented by potluck offerings), sing songs old and new, turn Passover traditions into explorations of our unique identities, and make brand-new friends while connecting with familiar ones. Now in its fourth year and featuring our specially made haggadah, LUNAR Passover offers a classic holiday experience while celebrating our Asian Jewish identities as well as those of the guests we bring to the table. This event is open to Asian American Jews, and their +1 guests. LUNAR defines ‘Asian American Jews’ as folks who identify as both Jewish (whether by heritage, religion or culture) and Asian American - this includes mixed race folks, transracial adoptees, Asian Jews by Choice, and more. We fully welcome those in the process of converting to Judaism, or simply exploring Judaism. In addition, all ages are welcome at this event, however children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Dress warmly, as the event is outside. This experience is part of NuRoots’ tenth Collective Escape festival. Discover the lineup at nuroots.org/collectiveescape. Please note photography will take place at this event—let us know if you have any questions. Pay what you can: In the spirit of keeping this event accessible, we are offering tickets on a pay-what-you-can model. Donations help to cover food and supplies, venue and insurance costs, and equitable compensation for our organizers and staff. The true cost of attendance for this event is $72 per person. We invite you to pay what you can, to help us make this event a success!
