On October 8, LGBTQ+ newsrooms across the country are coming together for Local LGBTQ+ Media Giving Day, a one-day campaign to support the journalists telling the stories of our communities every day.

For decades, local LGBTQ+ media has documented our lives in ways few other outlets can. These newsrooms cover the issues affecting us close to home, celebrate our communities, hold leaders accountable and preserve our history as it happens. But producing independent local journalism takes resources. Many LGBTQ+ newsrooms operate with small teams and tight budgets, even as the need for trusted, community-based reporting continues to grow. That’s why we created Local LGBTQ+ Media Giving Day.

Your donation supports participating LGBTQ+ news organizations across the country, with funds raised through this campaign shared equally among them. One gift helps strengthen an entire network of local LGBTQ+ journalism. Participating outlets include: Bay Area Reporter, Dallas Voice, E3Radio, The Gaily Show, Los Angeles Blade, OutSFL, Tagg Magazine, Washington Blade, Windy City Times On October 8, help us show up for the newsrooms that show up for our communities all year long.
