Why This Matters

For combat medics operating under fire, a standard backpack can mean the difference between life and death of his teammates. Each standardized medical backpack costs approximately $1,000, holds over 100 medical items, and has the potential to save up to 10 lives.

How You Can Help

This targeted campaign has the goal of raising $20,000 to provide 20 life-saving backpacks for Ukraine’s combat medics. Your gift, whether large or small, will be directly applied to gear that the medics carry into the field. When you donate, you’re funding supplies that are on the frontlines, right where they matter most.

Who the help will go to

The Lviv Volunteer Medical Battalion is a dedicated team of volunteers in Lviv, Ukraine, founded in February 2022, working to provide critical tactical medical supplies and training to the defenders of Ukraine with professionalism, resilience and direct action in extremely challenging circumstances. From frontline medics wearing backpacks in combat zones, to stabilization points and military hospitals around the country: their mission is urgent, impactful and lifesaving.

Why they can do it

In the past year alone, the Battalion has supplied more than 350 of these backpacks, a remarkable achievement, and they’re committed to doing even more.

Beyond backpacks, the Battalion also provided since the beginning of the war:

- Tactical medicine training for 7,000 Defenders

- 5 mobile stabilization units (in partnership with the Netherlands)

- Large quantities of IFAKs and medicines, medical equipment and supplies to multiple medical facilities across Ukraine
