OFor 25 years, La Comunidad’s ESOL and citizenship classes, translation and legal services, youth leadership and community action campaigns have succeeded in increasing networks of support to make a better life for Latinx families. Celebrate with us!

In 2024, we served over 8,000 families, offering:

ESOL and citizenship classes

A 95% success rate in approved Federal legal status applications

Know Your Rights trainings

Small businesses and workforce development training, tax and translation services

A youth leadership team who engage the community in education and advocacy campaigns

In 2024, we:

Welcomed the largest and most diverse ESOL cohort in our organization's history
Surpassed our voter registration goals, in partnership with MA Voter Roundtable's DemocracyHUBS
Hosted a Candidate Forum with 75 residents in attendance
Hosted 3 Electrify Everett events with 190 residents and small businesses owners to promote energy saving resources in partnership with the Everett Haitian Community Center, Everett Community Growers, Elliott Center, the City of Everett, National Grid, Revise and Energy Source
Our Executive Director Antonio Amaya received Congressional Recognition from Senator Markey for Outstanding and Invaluable Service to the Community

Our goals for 2025 include:

Launch a year-round youth leadership training program including bank and credit counseling, small business and workforce development mentors
Organize a Family Support Network to provide legal guardianship training, food and utility assistance and stabilization support to ensure that children of immigrant families do not end up in the Foster Care system
Host free technology training programs in our new computer lab with support from the Massachusetts Broadband Institute
Offer free ESOL classes in partnership supported by Everett ARPA funding
Engage small business owners and renters in energy conservation workshops twice a month, supported by Electrify Everett and MassSave
Support community organizing efforts, including the Everett Public School Committee
Launch a women’s entrepreneurial circle
Embark on a capital campaign to fund new ground-floor ADA accessible office in Everett

$50 provides one hour of one-on-one resume and job interview training

$100 provides food for an upcoming youth leadership workshop

$500 provides legal guardianship services to 10 families in need
