<p><span style="font-size: 18px"><strong>A Two-Part Talk by Michael Zweig<br>Sundays, April 26 and May 3, 5:30 PM (EDT) via Zoom</strong></span></p><p><span style="background-color: rgb(255, 255, 255); color: rgb(34, 34, 34); font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 18px">Labor rights have always been central to the fight for democracy in the United States. This two-part course on US labor history traces this relationship as it has threaded its way from the start of the industrial revolution in the mid-1840s to today. The first session will feature significant moments in the difficult rise of labor rights culminating in the 1930s New Deal. The second session will look at the business backlash to this progress that has driven the weakening of labor rights since then.</span></p>
