Although I do not have a loved one affected by Lafora disease, I have felt a part of the community for more than two years. Connecting with families, raising awareness, and working as part of the dedicated team at Chelsea's Hope, I know we all want one thing: a cure for Lafora disease.
Currently, Lafora patients and their families face many challenges. Beyond the initial diagnosis and finding information about the disease, there are no treatments to stop the progression of the disease that patients face every day.
Now, we have more hope than ever! The FDA has just approved the ION283 Safety Study, led by Dr. Minassian at UT Southwestern. This study is not just a milestone, but a life-changing opportunity for the Lafora community. The only barrier is funding.
We must reach our goal!
Your contribution today will help Chelsea’s Hope kick-start funding the clinical cost of the safety study and help our entire community change the future for Lafora patients. Every dollar donated will go towards the Safety Study.
When I first joined the organization, reaching this day felt like a dream. The path toward a cure is long, but funding the Safety Study will be a huge step forward.
Will you join me on this journey?
Your donation to Chelsea’s Hope is tax-deductible and brings us closer to a cure for this disease. With your gift, you’ll give hope to the worldwide Lafora community.
