Starting at a sponsorship level of $250, Lake Avenue PTA will provide formal thank you and feature your business on our social media in form of Stories (individual sponsors) and Posts (full list of sponsors with images of camp).

About Outdoor Education & Wakpominee

For 23 years, Lake Avenue Elementary School fifth graders have spent three nights in the woods, connecting with nature and one another to kick off the best year of elementary school!

Taking 60-80 elementary students to camp is no small feat. Some have never been camping, some have never been away from their parents, and after 5 years in a traditional school environment, camp is...different. Lake Avenue also creates a satellite school for the week. Fourth and fifth grade teachers attend camp, as do other committed teachers, long-time volunteers, and family chaperones. Principal Carroll and special area teachers also come up to camp on various days, and the group welcomes Arts in Education performers throughout the week.

To ensure equitable access to this opportunity and that it remains a class event, fees are limited to $25/student. Sponsorships will keep this program accessible, and be used to offset the cost of site rental, food, and nursing services needed to run camp and maintain this tradition in Fall 2025.
