After months of thoughtful planning and meaningful progress behind the scenes, the Leadership Dorchester Class of 2026 is proud to officially launch the Ark Pavilion Project; an investment in both our community and the families who need it most.

This project will bring to life a dedicated outdoor pavilion at The ARK of South Carolina, creating a welcoming, functional space designed to enhance programming, foster connection, and provide moments of peace and engagement for individuals living with Alzheimer’s and dementia.

But this is more than a structure - it’s a legacy.

Every day, The ARK provides critical support through respite care, caregiver resources, and specialized programs that bring dignity, joy, and relief to families navigating the challenges of memory loss. For many caregivers, these services are not just helpful, they are essential. They provide time to rest, to work, and to simply breathe, knowing their loved ones are safe, engaged, and cared for.

The Ark Pavilion will expand these opportunities, offering a space for outdoor activities, therapeutic programming, and community gatherings that enrich lives and strengthen connections.
