We are so glad you will be joining us Saturday, June 22, for the Inaugural Legacy Race Battling Breast Cancer! A group of us believed we needed to continue the tradition and history – indeed – the legacy of a breast cancer awareness and fund-raising event in southern Colorado. We are so very grateful that all of you also want to keep this legacy alive.

All the money you have helped us raise to support the Legacy Race mission will stay in SOUTHERN Colorado! Approximately 75% will be used to help local women and their families who are impacted by breast cancer. The remaining 25% will go to support breast cancer research in Colorado!

The following is information we hope will be helpful as you join us.

We will be ready for your arrival at 8:00 am.
Plan to park in the south Norris Penrose Stadium lot.
There will be people directing traffic to assure you are in the correct location.
As you exit your vehicle, head towards the south side of the stadium.
As you enter the gathering area, please stop by either the Survivor table or participant table to check-in. They have drawing tickets for you.
Kangaroo Coffee, DonutsNV and Chick-fil-A will be in the gathering area with fresh coffee, mini-donuts and the Chick-fil-A cow.
Opening ceremonies (9:00 am) will include a photo of all participating survivors and then we will ask everyone to join for another photo.
Following the photos, we will have a short program.

9:15 am – the whistle will sound, and Legacy Race Battling Breast Cancer 2024 will start.

Please let runners go first and let them pass you out on the course.
There are short (1 mile), medium (2.2 miles) and long (3 miles) courses laid out for participants.
There are two water stations on the course provided by Tracey’s Boutique and KKTV.
Upon return, you will pass a timing clock if you want to know how long it took you to run/walk.
You will enter the Norris Penrose Stadium through the west end where you will find food trucks (Rock n Roll Sushi, Li’l Bear Sweets, Chrissie Homemade and American Eagle Sandwich), Kangaroo Coffee, DonutsNV and Chick-fil-A. Credit cards are preferred for purchases. Please take the opportunity to tip – all proceeds go to Legacy Race.
Also in the arena, will be sponsor and supporter tents. Be sure to check them out as they will have goodies and information for you.
Survivors, check out the survivor area (NE corner) where you can take a photo, pick up your swag bag and CELEBRATE!

10:30 The Biergarten OPENS!

Our 5 local breweries (Bristol, Voodoo, Urban Animal, Whistle Pig and Cerberus) will be ready for you. If you do not already have a Biergarten ticket ($25) you can purchase one at the entrance (credit cards preferred).
You MUST be 21 and have a picture ID to participate in the Biergarten!
You will receive a wristband. Please keep it on, otherwise you will need to purchase another ticket and again show your picture ID.
You will also receive a ticket with which to place your vote in the BREAST BREW Challenge! Each brewery will have a designated entry. Vote by putting your ticket in that brewery’s PINK bucket.
Breast Beer Challenge voting will close at 11:15 with the winner announced at 11:30.
Brewers will remain open until the beer runs out or 1:00 pm.

We hope you will stay with us throughout the day and have a fabulous time supporting the Legacy Race vision to support breast cancer patients and survivors as well as breast cancer research in Colorado.
