Equal Justice Starts Here

This Giving Tuesday, Legal Aid Chicago invites you to join us in making justice accessible for everyone in Cook County. Every day, thousands of our neighbors face life-changing legal challenges—evictions, domestic violence, loss of benefits—without the resources to hire an attorney. That’s where we step in.

Our campaign theme, Equal Justice Starts Here, reflects our belief that justice should never depend on income. Your gift helps provide free legal services to people living in poverty, ensuring they have the support they need to protect their homes, families, and futures.

Why now? Uncertain funding and rising costs are putting critical legal aid programs at risk, just as more families are struggling to make ends meet. People living in poverty are facing impossible choices between rent, food, and safety. Without access to legal help, they can lose everything. Your gift today ensures that when someone’s home, health, or family is on the line, they have an advocate by their side.

Together, we can make equal justice a reality. Please give today and help us stand with those who need it most.
