A call to arms for my USA Veteran brothers and sisters.

We served together in Afghanistan or crossed paths during training.

We’ve courageously walked in the fear and uncertainty on the streets and fields of Afghanistan.

We’ve shared laughs and boastful tales of our prowess as soldiers or Larrakins(boisterous trouble makers).

I’m calling your name and asking for you to get behind me on one of the biggest missions in my life.

Montana has some of the highest rates of veteran suicide in USA and some of the largest per capita rate of veterans.

I was reading that and other stats and it seems like cowboy country could welcome a shift and a supporting hand.

Although maybe there’s some stubborn mountain men out there the statistics can’t be denied.

Mental health...

Domestic violence...

Economic challenges...

Geographic isolation...

Alcohol dependency...

It’s almost like a competition between Wyoming and Montana on who can have the most of life’s hardships and ignore them.

I’m seeking help on and off the stage and I’m also seeking the attention and support of community leaders who are willing to face these facts and who want to join me to etch out the preliminary requirements for everlasting transformation.

Boldly I say: “we will make a dint in the veteran / male suicide statistics in Montana & raise funds for a specific Gold Star family who for fact will have a harsh cold winter if they don’t receive our support”.

All proceeds go towards this Gold Star family and Impact Montana.

Impact Montana works to co-exists with the support individuals may already be receiving. IM encourages integrative health solutions to promote one's ability to thrive. Impact Montana uses thrive factors based on military service, professional work experience, and research. Working through these factors gives opportunities to build individually and as a family/peer group.

Impact Montana understands that a strong support network and a more knowledgeable community can address the challenges faced by those who serve or have served. We also believe that no organization can take sole responsibility for this support and encourage cooperation within the communities around the state to aid our Montana Warriors.
